In all but the last photo, the cypress trees mark the shoreline of this bayou down the street from our house. They are usually a few feet onshore, but are now completely under water. The oak trees are in the grassy area, usually. You can see a patch of tall grass in the water where the shore is. I ask myself, "Why does New Orleans flood?"
